Camp Crystal Lake was the site of a great tragedy when a young boy drowned, and now someone is out for revenge against the counselors. (Be warned that, as this is for Friday the 13th, some of the imagery will be graphic)

While "Dead by Daylight" worked on its new killer, the game "Friday the 13th" created a clothing pack dlc for its players. Released on Sep. 23, the Spring Break dlc gives players swimsuits for the camp counselors. A player's goal in the game is to either hide or escape, and survive, as a counselor from the "Friday the 13th" film franchise, or eradicate the counselors as Jason. To escape, counselors can call police and wait for help, repair a four-seater or two-seater car and drive away, or repair a boat to escape on the lake. Players can also use a radio to contact the character Tommy Jarvis, whom players can return as if they die or escape, equipped with a shotgun. Counselors also search cabins for medical spray, bear traps and weapons ranging from firecrackers and pocket knives to machetes and a shotgun. Jason comes equipped with abilities like teleportation and a "shift" that closes a short distance quickly, along with his super strength and over-the-top kills. While different counselors from the movies differ in stats like intelligence and composure when afraid, Jason's specialties also change. Players choose from one of seven Jason forms as he appeared in the movies, or new forms like "retro" Jason from the 1989 "Friday the 13th" game, "Bloody Jason," and actor Tom Savini's new "Savini Jason." The addition of the bikinis and swim trunks adds a nonsensical, but interesting step for the game about the iconic Jason terrorizing counselors at Camp Crystal Lake. As modern horror media tend to do, the game plays on horror tropes that were so commonplace in the past that now they are comical. The counselors come from the movies and their stats follow stereotypes, like the promiscuous Tiffany, preppy Chad and bookish Deborah. As such, the different swimsuits follow a similar pattern to match the stereotypical characters, with Tiffany in a micro bikini, Chad in a speedo and Deborah in a one-piece suit. The game has more than its fair share of bugs and glitches, with the possibility of counselors getting on rooftops or hitting a Jason home run with a baseball bat that ends the game by sending Jason out of the map. Despite these issues, however, the game has managed to remain a popular YouTube and Twitch streaming option, and the Spring Break dlc will only help the trend. From the outset, many players, including YouTubers like Bryce McQuaid and Ohmwrecker, played as Tiffany despite her low skill in tasks like rebuilding the car due to the abundance of jokes to be made about her being overly sexual. Others enjoyed mocking Chad for being a stereotypical rich snob, sporting a sweater on his shoulders and having an achievement named after him that requires players abandon friends by escaping alone. With the new swimsuit option, the creators are dipping into the jokes from the beginning, with emphasis put on Tiffany and Chad in the trailer for the dlc. While Tiffany gets multiple views as she dances, everyone stops and stares in awe as Chad strolls in with his speedo, ridiculously flexing before Jason throws a spear through his head. "Friday the 13th is rated 'M' for mature due to blood and gore, suggestive themes, strong language and intense violence.
